The Lexington High School Marching Band has performed for two Governors' Inaugurations and one President. The band has marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Tournament of Roses Parade and finished in the top six bands in the State Marching Band Championship since 1985. The band placed 2nd in '97, '98, '99, '00, and 2001 and has won the championship 5 times. The band has also competed in Bands of America Regional Marching Band Championships and has been a finalist five times. Lexington finished second over all in 1998 at Johnson City and won the AAA Championship in 1999. The band will perform at Pearl Harbor at the USS Missouri in Honolulu, HI in 2007.
